We can offer you a very high quality low cost solution for  green screen services.   Whether you're trying to create something for a independant project, a podcast, or film short, our setup is ideal for the independent content creator.



Our green screen setup:

  • Lighting
    • Dual Kino Flo 4Bank Fixtures with 525nm lamps
    • Dual Kino Flo Diva 400 fixtures with both tungsten and daylight lamps
    • Lowel DV creator pro tungsten lighting kit for talent
    • 8-color tunable LED par cans for lighting accents.
  • Capture
    • Video capture is done  to our AJA ioHD external transcoder which allows us to capture full 1980x1080 HD resolution to Apple ProRes 422 or Apple ProRes 422HQ. By using the AJA ioHD we are also able to do real-time capture of 10-bit 4:2:2 color space.
This increase in color space allows for a much higher quality key than traditional pro-sumer cameras can deliver. DV and MiniDV cameras don't have enough capacity to capture all of the color information for a video clip. They capture just one pixel of chroma information for every 4 pixels of gamma; in other words they only record 1/4 of the color information to tape.

Our IoHD transcoder allows us to bypass tape and capture the full 1980x1080 10-bit video stream from the camera via component video at 180 megabytes per second and convert it to Apple Pro Res 422 in real time. This effectively increases our color information by 100% and allows us to create far more detailed keys.
  • Cameras
    • Sony V1U HDV  - Outfitted with Letus Extreme 35mm lens adapter, Ikan on camera external monitor.   Letus Extreme allows for use of Nikon 35mm lenses on the video camera. This allows for greater depth of field as well as increased flexibility, giving your project that "film" look.
    • Canon HV30 HDV - Small but incredibly well suited to green screen capture due to the ability to capture directly from camera via component video into the AJA unit. Best camera in the industry for the price.
  • Audio
    • Sennheiser EW 100ENG G2 wireless mic system, with two lavaliere mics and plug-in for hand-held mic.
